AuditClub Academy: For Accounting Students
Are you a talented high school or rising college student seeking an accountant training program that offers an exceptional learning experience and an accelerated CPA career path? Learn how you can become our next AuditClub Academy cadet!
We’re On a Mission
At AuditClub, we’re tackling one of our profession’s biggest problems head-on—the declining number of students pursuing accounting and auditing degrees and CPA certification. Our innovative AuditClub Academy program is designed to nurture interest in auditing careers and accelerate professional development for promising accounting students.
This Isn’t A Traditional Internship…It’s Much More
Talented high school and college accounting students will be selected for year-round, part-time on-demand roles as AuditClub Academy cadets. While continuing their education, cadets will gain professional experience working with a team of chief auditors and crew supporting multiple CPA firm members or private companies who have engaged AuditClub.
Meet Connor Crow, Our Newest Senior Crew
Connor is a licensed CPA with multiple years of public accounting experience at a Big 4 accounting firm. He has spent the majority of his career working with publicly traded companies with a specific focus on industrial manufacturing clients.
Connor has also served various private sector clients, including oil and gas companies and consumer manufacturers. Throughout this time, he has driven added audit quality and value by deeply understanding the client's business and gaining audit efficiencies through more robust risk assessment and testing procedures fostered by advanced technology.
Connor's priority with AuditClub is to continue raising audit quality and providing additional perspective and insight on best practices to the members he will support.
The Work Our Cadets Do
Cadet work assignments span a broad range of activities, assisting chief auditors and crew with everything from document preparation to inspections and testing.
- Preparation of audit or review workpapers for public and private clients
- Consulting and researching technical accounting and auditing issues
- Conducting pre-issuance reviews and post-issuance inspections of assurance engagements
- Testing a CPA firm’s system of quality control
- Supporting CPA firms undergoing a PCAOB inspection or AICPA peer review
- Composing quality control policies and procedures
- Developing training materials on relevant accounting and auditing topics
The Goal of AuditClub Academy
We want to ensure that cadets are eligible to be licensed as a CPA the moment they complete the 150-hour requirement. Assuming exceptional performance throughout their time within AuditClub Academy, graduating cadets would be commissioned as full-time senior members of our AuditClub Crew at a higher pay scale, thereby accelerating their public accounting career.
